Well,\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0not entirely true:\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0genuinely\u00a0overwhelmed\u00a0with joy\u00a0at\u00a0the compliment, and not only because Cara Delevingne is\u00a0<em>my\u00a0<\/em>brow icon\u00a0\u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.refinery29.com\/en-us\/eyebrows\">brows<\/a> are her ultimate beauty signature. (In my mind, this is akin to if Michaelangelo complimented me at\u00a0a Paint &amp; Sip.)\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0L\u2019Or\u00e9al ambassador\u00a0and multi-hyphenate\u00a0has\u00a0had a packed schedule\u00a0as of late, including attending the\u00a0recent\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.refinery29.com\/en-us\/wuthering-heights-margot-robbie-alison-oliver-interview\"><em>Wuthering Heights<\/em><\/a>\u00a0premiere to support her friend Margot Robbie.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019ve seen it twice,\u201d she gushes, adding that while she\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0typically love period films, the beauty moments were nothing short of mesmerizing. \u201cMargot\u2019s\u00a0skin\u00a0and freckles\u00a0are\u00a0so gorgeous,\u00a0and that dewy kind of half-sweat, half-fog from the\u00a0moors\u00a0kind of thing,\u00a0was\u00a0just so incredible.\u201d\u00a0(No disagreement there.)\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ahead, Refinery29 chats with Delevingne\u00a0about\u00a0her current makeup and skincare must-haves, beauty philosophy, and why\u00a0sisterhood is more important than ever.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div><title>DashDividers_1_500x100<\/title><\/div>\n<h2><strong>Her back-to-basics skincare routine\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Delevingne has been a runway mainstay since the 2010s, and has been public about her own skin journey, ranging from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.glamour.com\/story\/cara-delevingne-psoriasis-met-gala\">psoriasis flareups<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0adult acne.\u00a0These days, she says, less is much more \u2014 a sort of pendulum effect of years of a \u201creally intense way of doing things,\u201d earlier in her career, as she puts it,\u00a0with elaborate, multi-step skincare routines: \u201cNow, I just wash my face and use the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ulta.com\/p\/revitalift-15-pure-hyaluronic-acid-serum-pimprod2001763?sku=2534685\">[L\u2019Or\u00e9al] Revitalift serum<\/a>, give myself a little\u00a0lymphatic massage,\u00a0and drain all that nonsense out my face.\u201d\u00a0Cut\u00a0to\u00a0us both on Zoom,\u00a0demonstrating\u00a0our\u00a0favorite techniques;\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0partial to using my fingertips to glide from between the brows\u00a0down to the cheekbones, and sweeping along jawline to relieve tension and\u00a0temporarily\u00a0depuff.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Her ultimate brow styling hack\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s\u00a0been a long time since\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0been genuinely floored by a beauty hack, but Delevingne\u2019s takes the cake, IMO.\u00a0\u201cFor a long time \u2014 way before I even worked with L\u2019Or\u00e9al \u2014 I would always use\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ulta.com\/p\/elnett-extra-strong-unscented-hairspray-xlsImpprod4180679?sku=2241495\">Elnett<\/a>\u00a0[hairspray] on my brows because it reminded me of my granny,\u201d she tells\u00a0me.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019d\u00a0just get a little mascara wand and put it on\u00a0[the bristles].\u201d (Editor\u2019s\u00a0note: I can confirm this indeed, works like a charm.) However, if\u00a0you\u00a0prefer\u00a0to\u00a0stick to\u00a0<em>actual\u00a0<\/em>gels\u00a0Delevingne and I both\u00a0swear by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ulta.com\/p\/infallible-up-24h-brow-lamination-pimprod2045478?sku=2625593\">L\u2019Or\u00e9al\u2019s Infallible\u00a0Brow Lamination gel<\/a>.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0especially great\u00a0for\u00a0naturally\u00a0thick brows since it delivers\u00a0all-day\u00a0hold but\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0feel crunchy,\u00a0nor\u00a0does it\u00a0leave visible, dandruff-like residue that shows up in darker\u00a0brows like mine.\u00a0And\u00a0it seems Delevingne\u00a0agrees:\u00a0\u201cI think\u00a0if I laminated my brows, they would look crazy since I already trim them\u00a0a lot, but I love the lamination gel.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What \u201cI\u2019m Worth It\u201d means to her\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Delevingne is refreshingly candid about discussing her\u00a0career,\u00a0but\u00a0absolutely lights up when speaking about the philanthropic work she gets to\u00a0witness\u00a0as part of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lorealparisusa.com\/women-of-worth\">L\u2019Or\u00e9al\u2019s Women of Worth<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 a mission-driven initiative inspired\u00a0by the\u00a0brand\u2019s iconic tagline. \u201cI think especially right now when gender equality and women\u2019s rights are being taken away and stripped back so much, [it\u2019s inspiring] to be able to bring something that isn\u2019t fear and bad news,\u201d she says of the program, which awards ten monetary grants of $25,000 to non-profits grounded in female empowerment. \u201cI remember going to my first\u00a0[Women of Worth]\u00a0event back in 2024, and I can\u2019t tell you how inspired and blown away I was by all of them,\u201d she says. \u201cAnd\u00a0[when]\u00a0people\u00a0asked me,\u00a0\u2018Which one touched you the most?<em>\u201d<\/em><em>\u2019<\/em>\u00a0I was like, \u2018Which one\u00a0didn\u2019t?\u2019\u201d\u00a0(Facts!)\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Discovering beauty on her own terms\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In typical Delevingne fashion,\u00a0the model\u00a0is having more fun than ever when it comes to beauty \u2014 and making it her own.\u00a0\u201cGrowing up as a girl that didn\u2019t love very feminine things like clothes and makeup, I didn\u2019t have an appreciation for it when I was modeling in the same way that I do now,\u201d\u00a0she\u00a0says.\u00a0\u201cWhen I had space to explore and figure out my own style, my own way of doing makeup,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0like\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0experienced what most girls go through\u00a0as\u00a0a teenager in my\u00a020s\u00a0and\u00a030s\u00a0\u2014 it\u2019s\u00a0that second coming of being a woman.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Her role as a\u00a0L\u2019Or\u00e9al ambassador\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Having walked countless runways around the world, Delevingne is right at home at a fashion show \u2014\u00a0but nothing compared to the experience of being in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lorealparisusa.com\/loreal-paris-x-paris-fashion-week\">L\u2019Or\u00e9al\u2019s Le\u00a0D\u00e9file<\/a>, which has taken place at Paris Fashion Week for two years in a row.\u00a0\u201cWhen I was doing fashion shows, I definitely felt nervous and alone, but in that lineup, you have other people lift you up and do the same for others,\u201d\u00a0she\u00a0says.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m\u00a0in the lineup next to Jane Fonda talking about the things that scare us most, about lessons that\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0learned and how important female friendship is.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How beauty plays a role when acting\u00a0(and her love of liquid liner)\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>From\u00a0<em>Paper Towns<\/em>\u00a0to\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.refinery29.com\/en-us\/2021\/09\/10649938\/only-murders-in-the-building-cast-cameos\">Only Murders\u00a0In\u00a0The\u00a0Building<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(in addition to several other projects\u00a0currently\u00a0in the works), Delevingne has\u00a0been\u00a0busy\u00a0honing her\u00a0craft\u00a0as an\u00a0actor\u00a0and\u00a0utilizing\u00a0beauty in her process.\u00a0\u201cWhen you\u2019re playing a character,\u00a0I\u00a0try to think\u00a0of\u00a0what scent that person would wear or what little makeup thing that they are really tied to,\u201d she says.\u00a0\u201cFor me as a person,\u00a0I love doing\u00a0a cat\u00a0eye with liquid eyeliner, because\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0good at drawing.\u00a0So being able to think about that for a character is always so fun, and I think\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0such\u00a0a good tool\u00a0to get into that\u00a0[mindset].\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Like what you see?
