These Twitch Streamers Are All About The Good Inclusive Vibes

When we started Refinery29 Twitch, we knew we wanted to use it not only to provide a fun, safe space for women and non-binary folks to share in their love of gaming, but also to spotlight the pros, gamers, and streamers who are pushing the status quo in the industry both online and IRL. But with a vast world of content creators competing for attention on Twitch alone, finding streamers who you love can be a challenge.

Enter Tuesday Takeovers, where we invite some of our fave under-the-radar streamers onto our channel to do what they do best: game. Think of it as the Discover Weekly of Twitch where you’ll have two hours of guaranteed entertainment weekly, while also discovering talented streamers who are more than worthy of you clicking the follow or subscribe button. Ahead, read on to meet the Twitch streamers who are all about inclusivity, connecting with others, and having fun.

xxBrandy

A gamer since she was “a wee lass,” xxBrandy has been streaming, making content, and cosplaying for 15 years — a lifelong journey she’s more than happy to discuss, especially in regards to how the scene has changed the stigma she (and countless other women) have faced. She also loves anything related to horror, comics, and anime, which are themes you can see pop up in her streams. Beyond her content, xxBrandy is a passionate advocate for mental health and the LGBTQIA+ community, so she always makes an effort to keep her channel a safe and inclusive environment.

Applejackeroni

There’s a reason that Applejackeroni is primarily a cozy gamer/streamer — and it’s more than just that those are their favorite types of games. Applejackeroni also loves that they make it easier to hold a conversation with the community in their chat and actually get to know their viewers. Applejackeroni says it best in their bio: the “main goal is to leave people better than when they found them, and for everyone to know they are appreciated, heard, and loved as they are.”

Miamouse14

Miamouse14 might seem familiar: she was part of the winning team of Refinery29’s Valorant Tournament! When she is not claiming victory (or gaming in general), she can be found cosplaying as Valorant’s Raze, making TikToks, hosting collegiate esport events, and talking about other passions like K-pop, K-dramas, romance animes, traveling, and more.

Lorie

Prepare to feel all the feelings over on Lorie’s channel. A huge fan of Japanese role-playing games (think Kingdom Hearts, Xenoblade Chronicles, Persona, and Final Fantasy), she’s all about taking viewers through the emotional ups and downs of whatever she’s playing. On camera, she’s known to shed a tear and scream in delight and hopes you feel the same level of comfort.

Thiccsparklebutt

Thiccsparklebutt loves reality TV — something she brings into her streams by discussing how the (often toxic) recurring themes translate to real-life lessons. Ultimately, she hopes to help soothe people with laughter and likes talking about poetry, relationships, intersectionality, living with disabilities, and more.

Elegy

Theater geek, voice actor, writer, and streamer Elegy has been on Twitch for over a decade. That means she knows a lot of Twitch history — and is more than happy to talk about it. Her current go-to game is Fantasy XIV, and you can usually find her streaming six (!) nights a week. While maintaining a regular streaming schedule and sharing her life on her channel, Elegy came out as trans and was open about her transition journey; today, she’s a fierce advocate for greater visibility for trans streamers, rightfully pointing out that they should be highlighted and celebrated beyond Pride initiatives.

IdiosynAnca

IdiosynAnca describes herself as a “goofy cosplaying variety streamer.” She loves MMO and RPG open-world games (Destiny 2, Monster Hunter, and Baldur’s Gate 3 are among her top picks) and spending endless hours gaming with friends. Cosplay, meanwhile, offers her an opportunity to immerse herself in creative hands-on work. “It’s the best experience watching something [I] create come to life!” she writes.

Hecate_FindingOK

On Twitch, Hecate_FindingOK focuses on cozy co-working, indie games, and dating sims to make their channel a compassionate soft space. Outside of gaming, they are also an artist and host Finding OK, a podcast for survivors of sexual assault and other forms of abuse through an intersectional lens. They hope that honest conversations can help others feel less alone and give them the tools to navigate their own trauma and healing.
